Howorth swaps General Mills for Scala

Dave Howorth has joined Scala Consulting as an executive director; leaving his previous role as supply chain director of General Mills UK, Ireland, Germany and Nordics.

At the food manufacturer, Howorth was responsible for logistics and supply chain development in a multi-temperature and multi-channel space. He handled distribution network design; supply chain reengineering to reflect acquisition and divestiture, the implementation of an Integrated Business Management/S&OP process and the development of a customer engagement strategy.

“In joining Scala my aim is to drive accelerated growth by bringing strategic insights and expertise to our clients that will provide deliverable value to them,” said Howorth. “Supply chain is at an incredibly interesting point in time where it is not only a significant differentiator to business performance but it can also be a make or break to future success.”
