Ontime Logistics: New members join the management board

The Austrian logistics specialist Ontime Logistics now has three new top managers: Together with Peter Kainz (47) and Jochen Uray (53), Alexander Piwonka (45) will take over the operative business from the two Ontime managing directors Kurt Posch and Roland Schäffner.

With Alexander Piwonka, the Salzburg-based company welcomes on board a logistics expert who has worked for several years in the US and now takes over the “Road” division. Most recently he was Managing Director at Quehenberger Logistics GmbH. Alexander Piwonka will focus on further expanding the road segment of Ontime Logistics. Together with Jochen Uray, who has been responsible for the “Air & Sea” division for some time now, Alexander Piwonka wants to further strengthen Ontime’s quality standards.

With Peter Kainz, who worked as a commercial director and head of finance at BFI Salzburg and most recently as a consultant at a software company, a controlling expert joins Ontime, and will also take over financial agendas in addition to the management.

In 2001, the two forwarders Kurt Posch and Roland Schäffner founded the Ontime Logistics Speditions GmbH. The company currently employs around 100 people at its headquarters in Seekirchen am Wallersee (Salzburg) and at locations in Linz, Innsbruck, Vienna and Budapest. Their clients come from the automotive, electronics, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, plant engineering and mechanical engineering as well as the film and media industries. Sony DADC, Mango, Plasser & Theurer, FACC or sports motorcycle manufacturer KTM are using Ontime’s network worldwide. As the exclusive partner of NNR Global Logistics, Tokyo, “Ontime” is regarded as Austria’s specialist for precise logistics for the import and export of air and sea freight to Japan.
