ICA changes from terminal in Enns to Linz CCT

New handling mode of ICA’s block trains in seaport hinterland transport between Austria and Bremerhaven/Hamburg

Block trains operated on a regular schedule by Intercontainer Austria (ICA) between Austria and the north German seaports are subject to a new scheme from 29 April. "Major difficulties in handling processes at terminal Enns have forced us to put back our train products to Linz CCT.

Furthermore Vienna was decoupled from Enns- and Linz-rail services, respectively. The capital is from now served with six direct trains", the operator of unaccompanied rail/road transport announces in a press release.

Due to the short-term change an interim schedule will be valid until 16 Mai 2011. A regular schedule will follow afterwards, serving Linz-Bremerhaven with two direct trains, Linz-Hamburg with three trains via loops and one direct train, Vienna-Bremerhaven with two direct trains, Vienna-Hamburg with three trains via loops and one direct train.
