DB Schenker opens new office in the Russian Automotive Cluster Kaluga

National network of ZAO Schenker covers 21 cities in the Russian Federation since recently

 

ZAO Schenker, the Russian country organization of DB Schenker Logistics, has recently launched a new business unit in Kaluga. The new location lies in a fast growing economic region, especially with regard to the automotive sector. "Our existing cooperation with the market players in the Russian automotive cluster as well as with other industries has accelerated our decision to establish a branch in Kaluga," said Karl Nutzinger, Member of the Management Board of Schenker AG responsible for Land Transport and the European regions.

The new DB Schenker branch will provide clients with the full range of the company’s services, such as international and domestic Land Transport including Rail Forwarding, Air and Ocean Freight, Contract Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Customs Clearance, and Special Projects, such as global projects, oversized and heavy-lift cargo etc. DB Schenker Rail Automotive is in charge of the logistics concept to supply the Volkswagen/Skoda plant in Kaluga.

ZAO Schenker was established in 1992. The national network covers 21 cities all over Russia. With more than 600 employees, the company offers the full range of logistics services and is fully integrated in the global DB Schenker transport network.
