ICF and IFB launch the Antwerp-Sopron container express

Liner service by Intercontainer-Interfrigo and IFB Inter Ferry Boats links Antwerp to Sopron

In its partnership with IFB Inter Ferry Boats, ICF Intercontainer-Interfrigo has started a new liner service to Southeastern Europe. The Antwerp-Sopron Container Express (ASCE) operates since 5 July on a regular basis from Antwerp (Combinant terminal) towards its final destination, the hub in Sopron, western Hungary. In the initial stage three weekly departures will be on the schedule. Closing for cargo is Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening. ICF and IFB intend to increase the frequency of their offer to daily departures as soon as possible.

ASCE has stopovers in Cologne and Vienna on its journey from Antwerp. This gives the customers access to the most significant economic centres in Germany and Austria (e.g. connections to Graz and Villach). The hub in Sopron offers connections to Budapest, Sékesfehérvàr and other terminals in Hungary, Bulgaria (Poduyane, Ruse, Stara Zagora), Greece (Thessaloniki, Inoi, Athens), Macedonia (Skopje), Austria (Vienna, Graz, Villach), Romania (Arad, Oradea, Curtici, Bucharest) and Turkey (Halkali).
