Imperial BARIS expands offering for heavy lift transport
River shipping company Imperial BARIS positions ro-ro push barge in eastern Germany:
Berlin-based Imperial BARIS GmbH expands its offering for ship management of special heavy lift tonnage and positions the ro-ro push barge named “EUROPA 1“ in Magdeburg. The vessels will be used in the Germany’s eastern river and canal system.
"We want to meet the increasing demand in the market for ro-ro equipment at the rivers Elbe, Oder and particularly in the region of Berlin. The additional push barge shall also complement the service offering of Imperial BARIS for international heavy lift and project logistics", Ralf Maehmel, managing director, explains the reasons for the expansion of the offer in a press notice.
The service portfolio of the subsidiary of the Imperial Reederei group covers among other services the transport and/or storage of heavy and large volume goods such as turbines, generators, transformers, kettles, wind power plants, bridges, locks and other water buildings, as well as the organisation and implementation of major events on the waterway.
