IMS-Intermove Systems Deutschland becomes autonomous

German branch of the Vienna-based container operator IMS-Intermove Systems to act under new legal form

Due to strategic reasons the Hamburg branch of IMS-Intermove Systems, Speditions und Transport GmbH, was transferred to a new enterprise with retroactive effect from 1 January 2012. The company is now acting as IMS Cargo Germany GmbH based in Hamburg. The addresses in Germany and contact persons remain unchanged.

“IMS Deutschland had been a branch of IMS Österreich until now. With the change of the name the German branch becomes autonomous“, says Wolfgang Tomassovich, CEO of IMS. “However, the German company remains a 100%-subsidiary of IMS-Intermove Systems Speditions- und Transport GmbH.“

IMS was established in 1993 as a private container operator based in Vienna. As a full service provider with locations in Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Switzerland, and worldwide partners, the company offers all services related to combined transport. About 70 employees handled 159,000 TEU last year, generating turnover of about EUR 45 million.
