KommR Kurt Jöbstl died unexpectedly on 25 May; he left a well run transport and logistics enterprise to his sucessors

The Jöbstl forwarding company based in Wundschuh near Graz is mourning for their senior head. KommR Kurt Jöbstl died unexpectedly on 25 May 2014 at the age of 63, from the effects of a heart attack. The editorial office of the transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung expresses their deepest sympathies to the relatives.

Kurt Jöbstl was born on 30 September 1950 as the second of four children of Paula and Johann Jöbstl. In the family business in St. Martin im Sulmtal he got in touch early with the transport of goods of all kinds from point A to B. He subsequently graduated from the training as a forwarding agent. In the period 1976-1989 he was a successful managing partner of Nunner Sped Ges.mbH in Leibnitz. In addition, he has also operated the Jöbstl forwarding company since 1980.

„With his vision, his creativity and his whole heart and soul he has significantly expanded the forwarding branch and the transportation company and made the company ​​ to what it is today in the following years. The welfare of his employees has always been important to him, and he always had a sympathetic ear for the concerns of every individual,“ reads a letter of the Jöbstl forwarding company. The senior partner will be remembered in gratitude and respect, and they will continue his life’s work in his spirit.

In addition to its headquarters in Wundschuh in southern Styria, the internationally operating Jöbstl group has seven offices in Spielfeld, Vienna, Pichl near Wels, Fürnitz and in Ljubljana (SI), Budapest Gyál (HU) and Sibiu (RO). With 250 employees, the forwarding company moves about 150,000 shipments a year. They are offering a wide range of transportation and logistics services from a single source, based on 45,000 m² of covered warehouse space.
