Industrial logistics specialist Gefco consolidates presence in Romania
Gefco Romania: New branch with focus on land transport in Craiova to organise the transport of about 1,000 full truck loads per month
Gefco Romania has added a new location in Craiova, in the south of the country, to its network. The focus lies on land transport operations. The branch will dispose about 350 full truck loads for export and 650 full truck loads for import per month.
Gefco Craiova organises supply of the Ford plant in Craiova from Central and Western Europe, and cooperates with ALRO, one of Europe’s biggest producers of aluminium. In Romania, the industrial logistics specialist operates also sites located in Bucharest, Arad, Curtici and Mioveni.
„Opening the new branch in Craiova is part of Gefco Romania’s growth strategy, to expand into the customers’ regions. The economic region Craiova has been developing strongly in the past years, and has become a strategic junction for Romania’s export. The site in Craiova coordinates abouth one third of Gefco’s truck transportations in Romania today“, says Christophe de Korver, managing director of the national company.
