Innofreight launches new container types in 2010

New containers for heavy bulk and moisture-sensitive goods at Innofreight

With new container types Innofreight Group strives to be successful in European rail logistics markets also in the year 2010. For transporting heavy bulk goods, such as iron ore and coal, the enterprise has developed a new 20ft container. With the volume of 39 cbm and a tare-weight of 2,5 tons the cargo load per container is 21 tons on the track-class D. These containers will be used for the first time from February 2010 in Italy.

The new 30ft AgroTainer XXXL has been developed for transporting moisture-sensitive bulk goods and palletised goods for the long-standing customer Agrofreight. This new container is impressive because of ist flexibility and low tare-weight of 4 tons, as the Innofreight Management emphasises. Innofreight, based in Bruck/Mur in Styria, develops and implements international transports in combined traffic with special containers for bulk cargo using innovative loading and unloading techniques. With 20 employees a turnover of EUR 6 million was reached from international activities in 2008.
