ITG GmbH with its headquarters in Schwaig near Munich offers customers comprehensive Supply Chain Management solutions
ITG GmbH Internationale Spedition + Logistik with its headquarters in Schwaig near Munich has finalised the 30th year of its company history in April 2011 and at the same time put the management into new hands. Reinhard Rank, managing director since 2006, passed the management to his successors Alexander Schauer and Andreas Weiss (both 41). In its early years ITG GmbH focussed on services in air freight forwarding at the München-Riem airport, particularly for the textile and sports industry. In the following years they expanded truck transport, sea freight and contract logistics. In addition they founded branches in Germany and abroad. In 1999 the company moved to a new logistics centre and the company headquarters in Schwaig, in the immediate vicinity of the new airport Munich. After two expansion stages the available covered warehousing and logistics space covers currently more than 130,000 m². In total ITG has today around 830 employees at 15 own branches and seven logistics centres in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and the US, supported by a worldwide network of 200 agents and partners. In addition to forwarding services in national and European overland transport, air and sea freight as well as customs handling, comprehensive contract logistics services (warehousing, order-picking, quality control, packing, assembly, textile processing, sewing services) form the core elements of the service range. The industry focus lies on fashion, sports, body care, cosmetics, luxury goods and electronics. The medium-sized company generated a net turnover at EUR 132 million in the 2010 business year.
