Jacobson Companies partners with Rhenus Logistics
Jacobson Companies has entered into a strategic partnership with Rhenus Logistics, giving Jacobson access to an extensive logistics network into European countries with one partner. Jacobson’s International Logistics division will provide regular air and ocean services to Central and Eastern Europe on a scheduled and expedited basis. Rhenus operates one of the largest LTL road networks in Europe, departing from gateways in Amsterdam (air), and Frankfurt, Rotterdam and Antwerp (ocean). The Jacobson/Rhenus partnership is a major building block in Jacobson’s strategy to create a global end-to-end logistics solution for its customers. Peter Knapp, president of Jacobson International Logistics Services, said that the strategic partnership with Rhenus will allow Jacobson not only to provide very competitive transatlantic services, but also to offer supply chain services in Europe such as LTL/FTL, warehousing and value-added services.
