JCL AG to dispose of eight or nine individual companies

JCL Group (Graz) to make further adjustments in production and accepts slight decreases in turnover in return

Following the switch of longterm CEO Stephan Jöbstl to the position of chairman of the supervisory board, JCL AG based in Graz, Austria, enters a new phase of the company’s development. The year 2013 is earmarked for optimising structures and a critical analysis of processes. Furthermore the disposal of eight or nine individual companies with a total turnover of about EUR 70 million, which had been decided by the end of 2012, will be continued this year.

In this context Stefan Delacher speaks of bringing about „productive structures“. “The group has to be positioned in a way that harmonises meeting customer requirements and economic expectations of its shareholders“, the new CEO of JCL AG makes a clear statement in the talk with the Austrian transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung.

As the case may be, required cost structures shall be obtained through „closure of unprofitable units or disposal of divisions, that are unpleasant for us or simply do not fit into our portfolio or might have more success with other companies“, says Delacher. This means also turnover in the current year will decrease slightly and staff will be reduced.

JCL AG, based in Graz (Austria) operates in 25 countries with over 60 branches and 1.400 employees, and generates annual turnover of EUR 470 million. The company focuses on managing services across the entire supply chain in the health, chemical, retail, automotive and industrial sectors.
