Jerich International: 31 new Kögel trailers with paper equipment

Trailer acquisition is a matter of trust for Jerich International, for the benefit of trailer manufacturer Kögel and its Austrian general agency Hochstaffl Nutzfahrzeuge

Jerich International has added 31 new Kögel cargo trailers with paper equipment to its fleet recently. First class logistics does also require the use of “first class equipment“. The family enterprise based in Gleisdorf, Styria provides customised logistics solutions for customers from trade and industry and has 21 branches in Europe and ten in North America.

The new Kögel cargo trailers are captivating with their high quality of workmanship as well as their low maintenance costs and enormous flexibility in use. Optionally, the trailers are equipped for the transportation of paper rolls. This equipment includes four longitudinal steel loading rails with an integrated hole-arrangement for load-securing with locking wedges during loading and unloading. Two pallet rollers facilitate loading and unloading. If the 24 safety wedges and two pallet rollers are not used, they can be stowed in a transport box attached to the front wall, accessible from the inside without affecting the loading area.

For load-securing, 13 pairs of lashing rings are available within the VarioFix perforated steel external frame, each ring affording 2,000 kg of tensile force. Moreover Jerich ordered the optional splash guard covers for the 13 pairs of lashing rings in the external frame. The trailers are certified in accordance with DIN EN 12642 Code XL.

The trailers designed for multi-modal haulage are equipped with a reinforced chassis frame and gripper edges integrated into the frame. The optional tarpaulin with an additional water barrier in the area of the gripper edges helps to keep the freight dry.

Kögel Cargo Rail trailers are designed for flexible loading on the most prevalent rail pocket wagons of the a, c, d, e, f, g and h construction types and authorised for transport on express cargo trains at a maximum speed of 140 kilometres per hour.
