Quehenberger about to enter air and sea freight business

Quehenberger Logistics has been growing above market in 2014 through acquisitions in Germany, East and Southeast Europe

Quehenberger Logistics is about to become a full range provider of transport and logistics services. In 2015 the Salzburg-based logistics enterprise will enter air and sea freight forwarding business. Details will be announced by Christian Fürstaller, CEO and Rodolphe Schoettel, CFO at the annual press conference today in Vienna.

In the past five years Quehenberger Logistics has been evolving highly dynamically into a major national industry player. Through acquisitions in the growth markets of East and Southeast Europe as well as in Germany, the European network became tighter in 2014 and the logistics provider was able to expand its business in its core segments Fashion, FMCG, Automotive and Retail.

Based in Straßwalchen, Salzburg, Quehenberger Logistics is an owner-managed, medium sized quality service provider in the segments of transport management, network and contract logistics in Central and Eastern Europe. The enterprise has currently 2,600 employees at 89 locations in 18 countries. In Austria, the company operates by its own account the leading nation-widegeneral cargo network.
