John Lewis expands its Click & Collect service

John Lewis Partnership is to trial access to its Click & Collect distribution network to third-party retailers.

The trial includes a collaboration with Boden with the intent to expand to other brands. Boden customers will be able to place orders through the Click & Collect service before 7pm, and then pick up by the end of the next working day from 30 Waitrose and Partners stores.

Bérangère Michel, partner and operations director  John Lewis & Partners said: “This is a great example of how we are combining the capabilities of John Lewis and Waitrose to deliver what retail needs, at a time when the sector is changing at an extraordinary pace.”

John Lewis said that in the last five years Click & Collect orders had increased by approximately 50 per cent.  Currently 57 per cent of all its online orders are delivered through this service, with 25 per cent of packages collected at John Lewis shops and 75 per cent at Waitrose shops.
