Joint Scandinavian express logistics service of time:matters and Jetpak

time:matters and Jetpak are jointly forming a Scandinavian network

time:matters, the special service provider for courier, sameday and emergency logistics, as well as for time-sensitive spare-parts logistics, and Jetpak, the nordic market leader for time-sensitive express logistics solutions, jointly developed a flight network for the transport of time-sensitive spare parts in Scandinavia. Compared to the previously independent networks this brings clear advantages: Customers may profit from the expanded network including additional destinations, combined with a wider geographical coverage for collection and delivery, as well as shorter delivery times. The new service is a systematic development of the tight cooperation that has been formed during the last years by time:matters and Jetpak in the field of sameday consignments.

The new dense and highly frequented “In-night” network of time:matters and Jetpak is connecting economic centres in Central Europe and destinations in northern Europe, including Stockholm, Oslo, Kopenhagen and Helsinki, but also remote cities such as Hammerfest in the northern part of Norway or Oulu in the north-western part of Finland. The airports of Maastricht, Erfurt and Baden (Karlsruhe) are used as hubs. They grant a quick service in the markets in Germany and Benelux, and provide In-night transportations and deliveries between Italy and Scandinavia. Thus time-sensitive spare parts can be transported overnight from a warehouse (European distribution centre) to their destination within only 12 to 14 hours.

According to its own account Jetpak offers the fastest door-to-door delivery service in the Nordic countries, concentrating on delivery within 12 hours. The service portfolio comprises ad-hoc express consignments based on air and land transportations, as well as customised distribution and logistics solutions. Jetpak is operating with an own organisation, franchisees and agents in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. In the company’s own network, which consists of 140 locations in the Nordic countries, 700 delivery trucks and 2,500 flights per day are operated. Jetpak is held by Polaris Private Equity and Accent Equity as well as by its management.
