Jungheinrich renews Nightfreight’s contract

Forklift truck and warehouse equipment manufacturer, Jungheinrich, has renewed its contract with Nightfreight for another three years.

As part of the new deal, Nightfreight will be responsible for the management of the complete inbound supply chain of new trucks from Jungheinrich’s manufacturing plants in Germany for the UK market, in a move designed to improve tracking and visibility through the supply chain from factory to customer delivery.

Nightfreight has been responsible for operating all UK distribution for the past five years, providing on-site contract management and support; product checks and low level rectification of damage, and delivery and collection of used equipment for short-term hire to Jungheinrich’s UK customer base.

According to Jungheinrich’s purchasing & logistics manager, Steve Clarke, Nightfreight supports the company’s short-term rental business by delivering the close-to-market strategy that enables the location of trucks local to the target market.
