Kinaxia Logistics reassures customers, staff despite COVID-19 threat to volumes

3PL Kinaxia Logistics has sought to reassure that it remains open and trading in order to provide customers with logistics support during the COVID-19 pandemic – and has offered its network to provide additional services or wider business support.

In a letter to customers Kinaxia Logistics chief executive Simon Hobbs said: “Our intentions are to retain our full time employees and should our volumes and activity fall, which we fear they will, we will ask them to furlough their employment – meaning we will ask them to go home, take time away from work and we will continue to pay our employees as per government policy.

“When your and our volumes return, we will bring our employees back into full time work as quickly as we can.”

He said that in the meantime, he would ask customers that they protect Kinaxia employees as they would their own.

“Please also ask your end customers to similarly treat our staff as they would their own and allow them to use toilet facilities should they be requested,” Hobbs said.

“Commercially we ask you support us by maintaining your payment terms and we advise you that under the current circumstance we will operate under contactless deliveries where signatures are refused.”
