Kombiverkehr launches new rail service to the South of France

Kombiverkehr KG enters the economic region of Avignon-Marseille through regular rail services from Duisburg and Cologne to Miramas in the South of France
 
Kombiverkehr KG, based in Frankfurt, add a new service between Miramas in the South of France and Duisburg and Cologne to their schedule. The new service helps developing the economic region of Avignon-Marseille. From August 1 train services will be operated from Monday to Thursday and Saturday from Cologne an Duisburg. With a change in Lyon they reach their destination Miramas, in the South of France. In the city at the Mediterranean Sea forwarding and logistics companies will be able to ship their containers and swap bodies from Monday to Thursday. In France, Kombiverkehr had only been serving the terminals Lyon, and Bayonne in the Southwest of the country, up to now.
 
Kombiverkehr KG is an operator of multimodal transport, who develops, organises and markets an international network allowing forwarders and transport companies to combine the advantages of rail, road and maritime transport. The company operates more than 170 train departures with more than 15,000 European-wide rail connections per night. In 2012 the company shifted a total of 927.212 truckloads (1.85 million TEU) from road to rail. Their 145 full-time employees generated annual turnover of EUR 425 million.
