5 years of Cargo Center Graz

CCG proved successful as hub for combined traffic

In the presence of numerous guests from business and politics the CCG Cargo Center Graz celebrated its 5-years jubilee on the 3rd of July. The terminal at the location in Werndorf, near Graz, serves as a hub for combined road/rail transport. Since its establishment 22,000 trains with 450,000 wagons and more than 500,000 trucks were dispatched. The throughput of goods amounted to 4 million tons. At present the CCG handles 600 trucks and 350 loading units daily.

Currently about 550 persons are at work at the CCG. The facility is owned by the SCHIG AG. The warehouses and areas for throughput of 70,000 m² in total are operated by DB Schenker, Jöbstl Logistics, Wenzel, RCA, Panalpina and Hödlmayr International. Leykam Alpina, a producer of printing paper grades, calendars and stationery, will shortly start to build a location offering 3,000 m² hall- and 600 m² office area at the Cargo Center Graz.
