Kuehne + Nagel: 20 years at the service of customers in Romania
Romanian branch of Kuehne + Nagel has been growing continuously for 20 years and enters its third decade with confidence
With numerous clients and business partners the Romanian subsidiary of Kuehne + Nagel celebrated its 20th anniversary on 10 October. The global forwarding and logistics service provider opened its own branch in the south-eastern European country in 1994, being one of the first foreign companies. The new site initially focused on the handling of Full Truck Loads (FTL) and general cargo delivery within Europe. In 2002, Kuehne + Nagel expanded its activities to contract logistics, especially for the automotive industry.
Today around 300 experts at nine locations in six cities in Romania offer a wide range of services. In addition to air freight, ocean freight, overland transport and contract logistics, the they also provide customs clearance service. This created a large customer base. Kuehne + Nagel in Romania operates a total storage area of 30.500m² in Romania.
„In the past 20 years, we have managed to extend the range of services and the volume of business in Romania continuously,“ said Bob Mihok, Chairman Kuehne + Nagel in Eastern Europe, at the reception in Bucharest. He expressed confidence regarding the further development of the national organisation.
