L.I.T. AG forwarding completes its market entry in Austria

Opening its first location in Austria, L.I.T. AG is driving forward its international orientation. The new branch in Villach (Carinthia) shall help to build the traffic in the triangle between Austria, Italy and Germany, reads a press release of the company. In addition to Austria, the logistics service provider from Brake is also operating in the United Kingdom, France, Poland, Luxembourg, Italy, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands.

The focus of the service range in Austria is on jumbo transports. The North German logistics provider is seeking to attract major international customers from the packaging and insulation industries. In addition, L.I.T. wants to gain access to skilled workers beyond Germany.

“Due to the close connection in Villach to the Alplog Carinthia logistics center, the new location is a bridge for the whole of Europe and offers optimal networking with highways, railways and ports,” explains Marco della Pietra, branch manager of L.I.T. Speditions GmbH in Villach. The aim is to attract international customers from the packaging and insulation industry, and thus the development of the jumbo market in Austria. In addition, the geographical location enables them to serve customers from a wide variety of industries.

Since commencing operations in Villach in October 2017, the logistics service provider has quadrupled its order volume and has already worked for almost all well-known industrial companies in Austria. L.I.T. Spedition currently loads and unloads 15 to 20 trucks per day. The volume is expected to rise to 30 – 50 jumbo trains per day next year.
