Lagermax forwarding enters Turkish market under own name

New location of Lagermax forwarding in Istanbul to start with five employees – potential second location in Izmir

The transport and logistics enterprise Lagermax is now also providing forwarding services in Turkey. Having opened a new location in Istanbul, the enterprise headquartered in Salzburg has now its locations in twelve countries from Middle Europe to the Black Sea.

Initially “Lagermax Uluslarasi Nakliyat Lojistik Ldt.Sti.“ has five employees at the location in Istanbul and offers international transportations, FTL/LTL as well as general cargo transport from/to Turkey. Furthermore the enterprise offers supply chain services as well as warehousing and logistics services. Ismail Aras is heading operative business at the logistics terminal of Lagermax Uluslarasi Nakliyat Lojistik. About 1,000 m² warehousing space is available for customers in the European part of Istanbul.

Giving reasons for the market entry of Lagermax in Turkey, managing director Herbert Weber refers to the geographic locations, economic growth and political stability of the country. Thus the country offers the required conditions to establish as a logistics provider and consolidate the strategic orientation to the east. For Lagermax the massively growing market means an investment to the future. The enterprise is thinking about continuously expanding the network in Turkey. A second location in the west – in the harbour city Izmir – is being considered.
