Rhenus starts operating new logistic warehouse in Eisena

Logistics warehouse of the Rhenus Group in Eisenach supports EK/servicegroup with comprehensive services
 
The Rhenus Group inaugurated its new logistics centre in the Kindel indusry park in Eisenach last week. The multi user location provides 37,000 m² covered storage area, 42 gates and 35,000 pallet slots. This facility helps creating about 80 jobs. Total investment is indicated with more than EUR 20 million.
 
The newly constructed warehouse will join the activities of the trade cooperative EK/service group, which were previously carried out in Gießen and Hille. Moreover the video-surveilled logistics centre, which is equipped with sprinkler and alarm system is suitable to store dangerous goods. Depending on demand and customer requirements the multi user warehouse might be enlarged by 20,000 m².
 
Rhenus cares for warehousing, handling, order-picking and dispatch of goods, including electronic devices, household appliances or gift articles such as glass, china, pottery and writing material on behalf of the trade cooperative EK/service group. Moreover the logistics company offers value-added services such as labelling or packing of more than 20,000 articles of the cooperative, which covers about 2,300 independent trading companies. With a new warehousing solutions orders coming in before 3 pm. can arrive at the recipient the next working day via quick dispatch.
