Lagermax opens new logistics terminal in Budapest

Lagermax concentrates logistics services in Hungary at BILK terminal in Budapest
 

Together with Lagermax AED Hungary Kft. the Lagermax Spedicio Kft., a subsidiary of the Lagermax Internationale Spedition GmbH in Salzburg, started operating its new logistics terminal in the south of Budapest in June. On a 26,000 sq. m. area a building complex with 8,600 sq. m. warehousing and handling area and 1,400 sq. m. office area is operated. The logistics complex is situated directly at the ring motorway M0", which builds a circle around the capital of Hungary. According to the company the terminal offers ideal synergies between Lagermax Spedicio and Lagermax AED Hungary, a logistics system in the field of automotive. 

Lagermax Spedicio operates a national network and allows national procurement within 24 or 48 hours. Moreover, the forwarding company organises groupage cargo transports to eastern Europe focussing on Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine. The management of complete supply chains for international corporations and their Hungarian product lines, combined with just-in-time handling are supplementing the portfolio of the enterprise that was established in 1994. As for transportations to Western Europe, Lagermax Spedicio is a partner of the 24plus logistics network with an own 24plus hub at the new location in Budapest.

Lagermax Group operates 30 own locations in Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Macedonia, which form an elaborated distribution network for all customer demands. In 2008 the enterprise employed 2,550 persons and generated a turnover totalling to EUR 309.3 million.
