Large orders for Innofreight in the railway project „Stuttgart 21“

Styrian Group Innofreight to get started in the market segment of large rail infrastructure projects

Innofreight won major contracts for the supply of concrete mixing plants with sand and gravel, respectively for the transport of overburden materials in the railway project „Stuttgart 21“. They will use the proven WoodTainersystem with rotary discharge.

„The XL containers are perfectly suited for these harsh conditions. The rotary discharge guarantees a quick unloading as well as a effective and reliable winter operation“, the company announces in a press release. Starting in September 2014 in project „Stuttgart 21“ the newly developed InnoWaggons will be used for the first time.

For Innofreight this is the entry into the market segment of large rail infrastructure projects. Among the first customers who have opted for the transport technology of the Styrian company were SKV from Ulm and Mertz from Stuttgart.

International shipments in intermodal transport with special containers for bulk goods using innovative loading and unloading techniques form the core business of Innofreight Speditions GmbH with headquarters in Bruck an der Mur in Upper Styria. The company operates in 14 European countries.
