Letting prompts further development plans in Doncaster

Following the letting of its 278,000ft2 speculative warehouse at G.Park Doncaster, investor and developer GLP is planning a further warehouse development on the site.

It has leased the existing unit to a healthcare diagnostics company, which had been looking to secure space in the North West but not finding anything suitable opted to go east.

The occupier has signed a long-term lease and taken immediate possession. The development features a best-in-class specification including a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ fit-out and EPC ‘A’ Rating.

“The market continues to see high levels of demand and constrained supply of best-in-class logistics warehouses and, as such, we continue to look for opportunities to develop high quality assets in strategic locations to meet the needs of our customers,” said Adrienne Howells, Development Director, GLP.

“We are now pressing on with plans for the last remaining plot at G-Park Doncaster and have submitted planning for a 602,000ft2, 20m-high Grade-A warehouse which offers customers the opportunity to lease the largest and most sustainable logistics building in the North of England,” added Howells. “This is a further demonstration of GLP’s commitment to invest within the Yorkshire and the Humber Region and Doncaster specifically which serves as a key strategic location for logistics.”
