LGI Logistics becomes tenant in the ProLogis Park Himberg

Himberg location of ProLogis wins a prominent client: LGI Logistics Group from Germany

At the newly evolving ProLogis Park Himberg near Vienna the settling of a prominent representative of the contract logistics industry casts its shadows. LGI Logistics Group International (Böblingen/Germany) has decided to rent a part of the area. The subsidiary of the Willi Betz organization will cover a segment of the premises, which has a total area of more than 70,000 sq. m. including logistics and production sites and office areas that can be flexibly used, as the ProLogis group announced previous to a press conference. ProLogis operates on more than 44 million sq. m. warehousing area in North America, Europe and Asia, which makes it a worldwide leading provider of logistics properties.

The brand LGI Logistics Group International stands for a logistics service provider with 1,800 employees at 35 locations in 12 European countries. The enterprise emerged from the logistics division of HP Germany in 1995. With 650,000 sq. m. warehousing area it counts among the leading providers of European contract logistics. LGI designs and operates warehousing logistics, production processes and transport management on behalf of enterprises from the automotive, electronics, industrial and health care branches (including Audi, Carestream Health, Flint Group, Kodak, Siemens, Verigy and ZF Steering Systems). In 2009 they achieved a turnover at EUR 186 million. The average growth rate is 20 per cent per year.
