Liner shipping-quintet starts services from Asia to Rijeka, Koper, Trieste
Cosco, "K" Line, Yang Ming, Hanjin and Evergreen Line to offer twelve weekly direct services from Asia to Northern Europe and the Mediterranean region from April
The container shipping lines Cosco, "K" Line, Yang Ming, Hanjin and Evergreen are about to start a direct service from Asia to ports-of-call in the northern Adriatic Sea starting from April 2012. In a press release the enterprises announce the launch of the service called UAM. The Loop calls the following port rotation: Tokyo, Osaka, Pusan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas, Ashdod, Alexandria, Taranto, Koper, Rijeka, Trieste, Taranto, Colombo, Tanjung Pelepas, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Shanghai and Ningbo.
The liner service to the northern Adriatic Sea is part of a new arrangement of the five Asian container shipping lines on Asia-Europe trades. The schedule covers eight weekly liner services for Asia – North Europe and four for Asia – Mediterranean loops. These loops will be operated with vessels ranging from 8,000 TEU to 13,000 TEU size.
The Asia – North Europe services are operated is as follows:
NE1: Shanghai – Ningbo – Hong Kong – Nansha – Hamburg – Rotterdam – Felixstowe – Singapore – Nansha – Shanghai
NE2: Xiamen – Kaohsiung – Yantian – Singapore – Rotterdam – Hamburg – Felixstowe – Antwerp – Singapore – Hong Kong – Xiamen
NE3: Xingang – Dalian – Qingdao – Ningbo – Singapore – Rotterdam – Felixstowe – Hamburg – Antwerp – Yantian – Hong Kong – Xingang
NE4: Ningbo – Shanghai – Hong Kong – Singapore – Rotterdam – Hamburg – Antwerp – Singapore – Yantian – Kaohsiung – Ningbo
NE6: Xingang – Kwangyang – Pusan – Shanghai – Yantian – Singapore – Algeciras – Hamburg – Rotterdam – Le Havre – Algeciras – Singapore – Hong Kong – Xingang
CEM: Shanghai – Ningbo – Yantian – Felixstowe – Hamburg – Rotterdam – Hong Kong – Shanghai
