Logistician Logwin increases investment in Poland

Expanded warehousing area and enhanced use of mega trailers for the automotive industry with Logwin in Poland
 
Responding to the growing demand in the Polish market for logistics services, Logwin is investing in Poland. The internationally operating logistics service provider expanded its warehousing area at the site in Warsaw/Sokolow from 5,000 m² to 7,000 m². The new terminal is completely equipped with storage racks and is operated by 50 full-time staff, who are joined by 30 flexible temporary employees at peak periods. The modern high-rack warehouse is primarily used by customers from the retail and media sectors.
 
In addition, Logwin is counting more and more on more mega trailers for automotive customers in Poland. Therefore the enterprise has converted 100 contracted trucks and 34 own trucks for customers in the automotive industry. Megatrailers with an interior height of three metres can carry 100 cubic metres at optimum capacity. “The new vehicle equipment and the extended storage areas mean that we have created the right conditions to continue to grow in Poland,” says Piotr Jewusiak, Country Manager Poland.
 
Logwin offers full services logistics at its Warszawa/Sokołów location. Logwin staff inspects the quality of goods when they arrive, places them in storage and organises deliveries in specifically defined time slots as well as shop-to-shop deliveries, where Logwin transports goods between retail chain stores for various retail customers. In addition, the logistician’s portfolio of services also includes numerous value added services.
 
“On the one hand, we supply car factories in Poland with parts from neighbouring countries. On the other hand, the retail sector in Central and Eastern Europe is increasingly drawing replenishment stock from distribution centres in Poland,” Mario Aschbacher, Head of Central and Eastern Europe at the unit Logistics and Warehousing, outlines the activities.
