Logistics Cluster initiates further process optimisation with L. Blecha

ecoplus Logistics Cluster: Mathera Matrix-method Triple M results in further cost savings and more customer service with L. Blecha GmbH

For Ingrid L. Blecha GmbH (Neunkirchen), specialising in wholesale of aluminium, it has proven quite expedient to participate in the process optimisation using the Mathera Matrix-method Triple M, initiated by the ecoplus Logistics Cluster.

“Today one must keep an eye on optimisation. To maintain competitiveness, means to continuously improve expenditure of time, use of resources and process design“, Katharina Ganster, managing director, says in an interview with the newspaper NÖ Wirtschaftspressedienst. This had been implemented successfully, in a simple and efficient way, by using Triple M. This has led to considerable savings and even more customer friendliness.

Ganster emphasises on the intensive exchange with the other two Triple M-participants, Bramac Dachsysteme International GmbH and Gugler GmbH, as particularly positive, and that the Logistics Cluster takes over 50 per cent of the external project costs.

Blecha is specialising in the wholesale and storage, cutting and delivery of aluminium profiles, tubes as well as square and flat bars.

Every year 3,200 tonnes of aluminium pass the headquarters in Neunkirchen. The company’s strengths are ten native speakers, who serve the export customers in their native language, as well as their own logistics. With eleven trucks Blecha supplies its customers in Austria and neighbouring countries.

Of the 74 employees, two-thirds are female, the Executive Board consists exclusively of women. Five apprentices are learning the profession of wholesale merchant. In the 2013/14 fiscal year Blecha has increased its sales by six per cent to EUR 15.3 million. The export rate is 50 per cent, deliveries go to 60 countries in Europe, America, Asia and Africa.
