logitrans 2011 takes up two exhibition halls

The logitrans Transport Logistics Exhibition is being held from 8 to 10 December 2011, in Istanbul. It is the fifth edition of the fair, but the first one organised as a joint venture by Messe München and the Turkish partner Eko Fair Limited. logitrans is seen as the most important event of its kind in the region, gathering together by the Bosporus national and international exhibitors and visitors from the transport and logistics sector.

Already one goal has been achieved: logitrans is doubling the amount of exhibition space it takes up, from one hall to a total of two at the Istanbul Expo Center. Here exhibitors will be presenting a broad spectrum of products and services for the entire value chain in logistics, telematics and transport.

Many companies have already confirmed they will be taking part. These include the Ports of Bremen and Hamburg, Duisport, the Port of Venice and the Port of Trieste. Also exhibiting will be the airlines Turkish Airlines Cargo and MNG Airlines and the shipping companies Ulusoy Sea Lines and Superfast Ferries S.A. In the section on logistics services at logitrans, there will be names like Panalpina, Gökbora, Alisan, INCI and Omsan. Also at the fair will be system suppliers, such as Ford Otosan, Transwaggon and Ekspar.

As well as all the individual exhibitors, there will also be groups of companies exhibiting at national pavilions. Among the countries taking national pavilions this year will be Austria, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. The German pavilion is being sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
