LogServ sees positive development in signal technology

The department of signal technology sees an increasing share of orders from external customers. Salzburg AG and ÖBB are among those who have long been relying on their cooperation with Logistik Service GmbH (LogServ).

In recent months, the team of the LogServ signalling works has set up five new computer-controlled lighting systems to secure railroad crossings on behalf of Salzburg AG: three of them on the Zell am See – Krimml route for Pinzgauer Lokalbahn, and two on the Salzburg – Ostermiething route for Salzburger Lokalbahn. As the operation started earlier on the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn, three light signal systems had to be installed within 14 days.

For the past four years, the ÖBB have been buying certain services from qualified companies. Only personnel who have completed a four-week special training, for example, in the field of safety technology with ÖBB, may work on these construction sites.

Recently, LogServ employees installed safety engineering components for switchboards and isolating rails within a tight schedule again. As usual, the components were approved by ÖBB signal controllers. It was obvious that the ÖBB group will increasingly acquire services in this area in the coming years, announces the Linz LogServ headquarters.
