Loxx establishes Russia-Transsipment Point

Loxx-Group operates new service to Russia for transporters and forwarders

The Loxx company group based in Gelsenkirchen upgraded its company in Warsaw to a Transsipment Point towards Russia. A new service is offered that is addressed to transport and forwarding companies, who want to transport their consignments in an inexpensive and fast manner to Russia.
German-speaking Loxx employees are consolidating part and full loads at the Transsipment Point Warschaz, and forward them towards Moscow. Consolidation is obligatory for consignments to Russia, because in Russia limits for vehicle load capacities are stricter than e.g. in Germany and Poland. Whereas in these two countries a truck is permitted to transport a maximum freight load of 25 tons, Russia’s limit is only 21 tons.

Loxx offers departures from Warsaw to Moscow on Mondays and Thursdays. “The clients of the Transsipment Point in Warsaw can profit from more fully utilised trucks and the geographical vicinity to Russia“, as the Management published in a release. In the future the forwarding enterprise wants to use the location in Poland’s capital as a hub for throughput of goods consignments destined for the region of St. Petersburg. A possible start-up of such a service is currently being tested.
