Lucas Logistics Autotransport becomes part of the Hödlmayr group

Hödlmayr group acquires company in the Netherlands to consolidate market presence as vehicle logistician in the Benelux countries
 
The Hödlmayr group expands their European logistics network through an asset deal. Taking over the car transport division of the Dutch Lucas Logistics Autotransport B.V., they upgrade and complete their network in the Benelux countries, which had so far been dominated by the logistics compound in Tongeren, Belgium.
 
Hödlmayr Logistics Netherlands B.V., the Dutch subsidiary of Hödlmayr International AG, takes over the car transport division of Lucas Logistics Autotransport B.V. including 50 employees, 45 car carriers and business volume of about EUR 90,000 vehicles per year. This transaction will considerably increase the company’s market presence in the Benelux countries. In line with that goes an optimisation of the European logistics network in 14 countries, including multimodal transport solutions, compounds and technical facilities for preparation of vehicles.
 
This acquisition is the Hödlmayr group’s response to currently by customers required investments into additional capacities. As for car manufacturers, importers, fleet operators and retailers this means more planning security and reliability.
 
Hödlmayr International AG and their subsidiaries in 14 countries employ more than 1,300 staff, operate storage area for 75,000 vehicles, more than 550 special vehicle transporters and ten block train concepts. The corporate group based in Schwertberg, Upper Austria, has lately generated annual revenues of about EUR 190 million. In total they deliver about 1 million vehicles per year. Hödlmayr acts as a releasing agent in six car factories, being in charge of the entire quality control of the new cars. In this function the company handles 550,000 units per year.
