Major acquisition of Syncreon in the reverse logistics segment

Compuspar S.A. (Barcelona) is with immediate effect a 100%-subsidiary of the worldwide active provider of contract logistics Syncreon

 

With a company takeover Syncreon, a provider of integrated logistics solutions for globally active industrial enterprises, consolidates its position in the segments reverse logistics and repair solutions. In a press release the enterprise with its headquarters in Auburn Hills in the U.S. announces the purchase of the Spanish supply chain service company Compuspar from the Serra family.

The acquired company has around 900 employees at 18 locations in Spain, France, Italy, England, Poland and the Americas. Services in the fields of reverse logistics, repair solutions and guarantee services, including transport, warehousing and distribution logistics for customers in the hi-tech industry form their core business. Last year they repaired about 2 million devices for reputable customers (such as Canon, Diebold, Getronics, HP, IBM, Lexmark, NEC, Oki, Tally. T-Systems, Wincor Nixdorf and Xerox). This yielded a turnover at the amount of EUR 41 million.

With this acquisition Syncreon enhances also its geographic focus. The enterprise owned by the Irish businessmen Michael and Brian Enright and the New York based private equity firm, GenNx360 Capital Partners, has activities in 20 countries, with over 75 facilities and approximately 10,500 employees. The main users of Syncreon’s integrated logistics services are customers from the automotive and Hi-tech industry.
