Malcolm takes Wakefield distribution centre

Glasgow-based Malcolm Group has taken Wilton Developments’ 135,000 sq ft Latitude 135 building near Wakefield West Yorkshire.

The company has taken a 10 year lease on the facility at a rent of £4.55 per sq ft. The building stands on a site of 10.3 acres at Junction 31 of the M62 motorway and has 10m eaves, 11 dock and three drive in loading doors as well as 4,000 sq ft of office accommodation.

Malcolm Logistics offers integrated road, rail and warehousing services throughout the UK and increasingly into Europe. Its operations include: DIRFT, Haydock, Castleford and Avonmouth, as well as Linwood in Glasgow.

Latitude Park is an extension to the established Wakefield Europort providing a rail freight terminal with daily direct rail access to Europe via the Channel Tunnel. Other occupiers in the vicinity include Argos, TKMaxx, Scottish & Newcastle, Asda, Poundworld, Haribo and Bosch.
