Markus Aichinger assumes management of DB-Schenker location in Ried

Markus Aichinger succeeds Josef Rosenberger: DB Schenker filled vacancy at top management of the branch in Ried im Innkreis
 
Markus Aichinger (37) has been appointed new branch office manager of DB Schenker in Ried, Upper Austria. With immediate effect he succeeds Josef Rosenberger, who left mid-year from the Upper Austrian branch office. One of his first tasks as new branch office manager in Ried will be to introduce the STAR land transport software.
 
Aichinger was born in Wels and has been active for 22 years in the company. He started his career in 1991 as an apprentice at DB Schenker in Wels. His previous position was as head of the Eastern Europe desk in Hörsching. Thanks to Aichinger’s work, this office was awarded an in-company innovation prize in 2004 for a project to optimise and structure storage space purchasing.
 
Markus Aichinger completed the DB Schenker Management Development Programme from 2004 to 2006. While working as head of the Eastern European transport department he was made an official authorised agent in Hörsching in 2008. In April 2013 he passed a further qualifying examination for shipping agents. He has been married since 2009 and has two sons aged nine and five years. In his free time he likes to play sport.
