Delta Shipping Lines launches new feeder service to Russia

New Russia feeder service of Delta Shipping Lines connects Hamburg and St. Petersburg

A new feeder service appears on the scheduled of the Short Sea Container shipping company Delta Shipping Lines. As of now two vessels of each 510 TEU capacity (including 50 to 60 TEU for reefer containers) are regularly operated on the route from Tilbury via Hamburg to St. Petersburg and vice versa. They approach three terminals in Hamburg and two in St. Petersburg. This new service is the shipping company’s response to the growing demand for transport capacity in traffic from/to Russia.

Delta Shipping Lines was established in 2004. The shipping company offers short sea and feeder services with a regular schedule, focussing on Russia. The enterprise is represented in Hamburg by the Delta Shipping Agency GmbH. Delta Shipping Lines has currently five 1A ice classed vessels with a storing position capacity of 500 to 1,000 TEU, that serve Tilbury and Hamburg but also the ports of Rotterdam, Aarhus and Gothenburg. The container fleet consists of more than 3,000 units in all commonly used dimensions.
