WLB Cargo to become business partner of easyrail.at
The recently established container operator easyrail.at (Vienna) is relying on a strong partner regarding the management of the blocktrains from Vienna via Enns to Hamburg/Bremerhaven and back, starting by January 2009 under the name „Rail Gate Austria“. „The Wiener Lokalbahnen Cargo GmbH will assume the transaction services. The contract therefore was signed only recently. „, as Manfred Dvoracek and Günter Watzl, the General Managers of easyrail.at, announced in the interview with the Österreichische Verkehrszeitung (Austrian Transport Magazine). WLB Cargo GmbH was established in 2007 as a 100%-subsidiary of the Wiener Lokalbahnen (Viennese railway-company). The enterprise is currently employing 46 persons, who operate 11 electro-locomotives (including 3 „Bosporussprinter“), four diesel-driven rail cars, 17 own freight wagons and more than 230 leased container wagons.
