25 years Vienna branch of Port of Koper
„For the Port of Koper Austria is the most important market abroad. Last year more than 4 million tons of goods with departure and destination points in Austria were handled at our quay facilities.“ This was the statement of Robert Casar, President and Chief Executive Officer of Luka Koper d.d., last week on the occasion of the 25-years anniversary of the Viennese branch of the Slovenian port. At the gala in the „Viennese Rathauskeller“ more than 100 guests followed the invitation of Miran Petrinja, the representative of Luka Koper in Austria. The Port of Koper is acting as a hub for transport and logistics for the region of Central and Eastern Europe. In order to consolidate this position the company started operating the 150 metres-expansion of the container terminal and a car park providing 2,700 spaces for vehicle logistics, in the last weeks.
