Modified South Africa service (SAX) with Hapag-Lloyd

Hapag-Lloyd’s SAX service offers their first direct connection from Rotterdam to South Africa

The regular service South Africa Express (SAX) operated by the shipping company Hapag-Lloyd has a modified scheme since the beginning of this week. In Europe, Rotterdam (ECT Delta Terminal) was added to the schedule. Thus the Dutch port has available its first direct Hapag-Lloyd connection to South Africa. In the destination country the port of Coega replaces the call in Port Elizabeth. The just opened Coega (Ngqura) Container Terminal is situated 14 kilometres in the north east of Port Elizabeth.

Hapag Lloyd’s South Africa Express offers regular departures from Europe to South Africa. The modified rotation starts in Felixstowe and calls subsequently Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Kapstadt, Coega (Ngqura), Durban, Coega (Ngqura), Cape Town and Felixstowe.
