TNT Airways and Emirates SkyCargo enhance cooperation

Emirates SkyCargo uses TNT Airways’ capacities on two intercontinental freight routes to Liege, Belgium

TNT Airways and Emirates SkyCargo are about to expand their cooperation in intercontinental air freight traffic. Last week both companies signed a code-share and blocked-space agreement. Under the agreement, Emirates SkyCargo will place its airline code and use space on TNT Airways’ B777 freighter flights on the New York JFK to Liege and Hong Kong-Dubai-Liege routes. The agreement is subject to government approval.

The enhanced partnership with Emirates SkyCargo enables TNT Airways to raise the flight frequency on the Hong Kong-Dubai-Liege route from four to six times a week. The flight frequency on the JKF-Liege route is five times a week. TNT Express operates three Boeing 777 freighters, which can fly 9,070 km with a payload of 103 tons.

TNT Airways expects the code-share and blocked-space agreement with Emirates SkyCargo to increase capacity utilisation of the freighters. For the air freight division of the Arabian Emirates airline the agreement opens access to an enahnced offer on routes from North America to the Middle East and from East Asia to Dubai.
