Oman Air works on expanding its flight schedule to Germany

Airline from the Oman Sultany plans to launch daily flights to Frankfurt and Munich and a new route to Berlin
 
The Arab airline Oman Air is working on a program to expand its flight schedule on the routes to Germany. The management is planning to increase the flight frequency on the route from Frankfurt to Muscat from six weekly flights to a daily connection on the medium term and in the course of their fleet expansion. Also Munich, currently approached four times weekly, shall be called daily. In addition Oman Air has cast an eye on the airport of Berlin Brandenburg.
 
“Three years ago we launched the first and only nonstop services from Germany to Oman“,Nicky Samarasinghe, country manager of Oman Air in Germany, said on a jubilee ceremony in Mainz. “We plan to launch flights to Germany’s capital in the next five years.“ From 2014 the company will operate six new Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
 
Oman Air was founded in 1993 and its the national airline of the Oman Sultany. The aim of the company’s expansion is to make the airport of Muscat an important, international hub for trade, industry and tourism. Oman Air operates currently a fleet of four Airbus A330-200, three Airbus A330-300, 15 Boeing 737-700/800 and two Embraer E 175 as well as two ATR 42. In Europe they call the destinations Frankfurt and München as well as London, Milan, Paris and Zurich.
