Imperial BARIS office in Hamburg coordinates traffic flows from/to stations on the Elbe and Oder rivers:

Besides their locations in Berlin and Duisburg, Imperial BARIS GmbH has opened an additional office directly in the seaport Hamburg on 1 November. One the one hand this expansion step in northern Germany accomodates the successfully established scheduled service of the "Rhine-Hamburg Line" and on the other hand the increasing traffic from/to stations on the Elbe and Rhine river.

"Important traffic flows are routed via the seaport Hamburg. The requirements of our customers and the vicinity to the cargo have led us to show presence in the important northern German ports", Ralf Maehmel, general manager for Imperial BARIS GmbH says.

Since 1 July, Imperial BARIS GmbH is made up of the heavy lift cargo division of the Imperial Reederei & Spedition GmbH in Duisburg and the BARIS Schifffahrtsgesellschaft mbH in Berlin. Besides services in inland navigation, based on the fleets of the Imperial Shipping Group and the shipping line Ed Line, the company also offers access to all services provided by a heavy lift cargo and project forwarder.
