Gefco felt the crisis of the global automotive industry in 2009
| Cost reduction program saved Gefco from dramatic slump in results for 2009 Thanks to the quick adoption of measures to sustainably reduce costs, the Gefco Group has come well through the financial year 2009. The operating result before non-recurring effects amounted to EUR 102 million after EUR 127 million in 2008. The annual turnover was down 18.3 per cent from EUR 3.54 billion to EUR 2.88 billion, as the PSA Peugeot Citroen Group announced yesterday. Gefco’s course of business was marked by the worldwide slower development of automotive production in the first half-year 2009. The enterprise based in Paris is specialising in creating and providing services for industrial logistics. Companies from the automotive industry are an important part of their customers.
