Mosolf group about to tackle emissions

Starting signal for electrification of the company fleet at three locations of the automotive logistician Mosolf

The signs indicate electrification for the company fleet of Horst Mosolf GmbH & co. KG. Based on a scientific study the system service provider for the automotive industry starts a long term trial of electrically driven motorcycles, cars and light utility vehicles for commercial operations.

Initially the technology and logistics service provider Mosolf decided to use two cars, a van and five light motorcycles with electronic drive at three locations. The aim of the electrification is the reduction of emissions, operational, repair and maintenance costs. In particular new technology in the own fleet will be tested.

“We are dealing with mobility concepts and customised technological and logistic services. If we want to participate sustainably in such growth markets, we will have to gain experience in our own fleet of course“, says head of the company Jörg Mosolf. If the expectations are met, Mosolf plans to enhance its commitment and use more electronic vehicles.

The Mosolf group has 2,400 employees and operates more than 850 special vehicle transporters, 300 rail cars and more than 30 technology and logistics centres in Europe, Brazil, China and India and moves more than 2.3 million vehicles per year. Their service range covers customised logistics solutions and special transport, repair services, special vehicles, industrial painting, vehicle assembly, vehicle recycling and mobility solutions for the automotive industry and fleet operators.
