Müller – Die lila Logistik establishes logistics platform for Valeo

Valeo signs long-term agreement with Müller – Die lila Logistik for production supply and dispatch handling services

The international logistics provider Müller – Die lila Logistik and Schalter und Sensoren GmbH, a business unit of Valeo – the market leader in development and production of components and systems for the automotive industry, have agreed a long-term partnership. The cooperation agreement was signed in mid-April at the headquarters of Valeo Schalter und Sensoren GmbH in Bietigheim-Bissingen by the Valeo Management and the CEO of Müller – Die lila Logistik AG.

The subject of the cooperation are the establishment and operation of a new logistics platform for Valeo in Wemding, as well as dispatch handling of finished goods and products. Müller – Die lila Logistik is therefore constructing a 12,000 m² Logistik Service Center (LSC) in Wemding, which will be directly connected to the production plant. After completion of the LSC and when fully operational the “Lila“ logisticians will handle the processes of production supply and disposal in up to three shifts. Construction works for the LSC will start in the coming weeks.

Valeo Schalter und Sensoren GmbH in Wemding produces technologically sophisticated electronic and eletromechanical products for many reputable car manufacturers. They include e.g. sensors for parking assistance, camera systems and switch modules. Müller – Die lila Logistik will support all production steps from goods receipt to goods issue. Apart from classic logistics services they will also provide value added services. Storage and handling will mainly be effected through small load-carriers, which will be cleaned in a designated cleaning facility in the LSC.
