Nagel-Group enters market in Romania
Specialist of temperature-controlled food logistics Nagel-Group acquired a holding in the Whiteland Logistics company:
The Nagel-Group takes another step to consolidate its position as a European-wide acting service supplier in the segment of temperature-controlled food logistics. Establishing Nagel Logistics Romania SRL and buying 25 per cent of the shares of the Whiteland Logistics company, the enterprise boosts its presence in south-eastern Europe.
Whiteland Logistics based in Bucharest is a specialist for contract logistics and serves reputable customers in Romania from the food and consumer goods industry, including the companies Campina, Hochland and Meggle. The enterprise employs about 250 persons at twelve locations.
The Nagel-Group headquartered in Versmold (Germany) has 9,600 persons at 90 locations in 18 European countries on the pay roll. Every day around 4,400 refrigerated vehicles are used. The annual turnover 2010 amounted to EUR 1.3 billion.
